73rd Kumagaya Fireworks Festival

   Date: Saturday, 9 August 2025 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

   Venue: Arakawa Riverside (Downstream from Arakawa Bridge)

*In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed in the following order: Sunday, 10 August → Saturday, 16 August → Sunday, 17 August.

 

 

 

Venue

  • ◾️For your convenience on the day of the event, please download and save this map in advance. The festival site is expected to be very crowded, which may cause mobile networks to become slow or unstable. Saving the map in advance will make sure you can view it anytime. By tapping the map above, you can access the PDF file. 

  • ◾️To protect the condition of the rugby field within the venue, entering or reserving spots before 4:00 PM on the day of the festival is strictly prohibited. Please note that any blankets, tarps, or personal belongings left to reserve spots before 4:00 PM may be removed by staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • ◾️To ensure safety during the Kumagaya Fireworks Festival, drone flights are strictly prohibited. Law enforcement officers will patrol the venue and take necessary measures against any violations. Your strict compliance with this regulation is appreciated.

Please take your trash home to help keep the venue clean.

▪️If you have purchased a reserved seat ticket, please enter through the gate nearest to your seat after 5:00 PM on the day of the event.

▪️For group tickets (for 4 people), all group members must enter together.

▪️A seating chart will be posted at the entrance of the reserved seating area. Kindly check the chart to locate your seat.

▪️At the reception desk, staff will provide you with a wristband. Please wear it and be prepared to show it when entering or re-entering the area.

FAQ

Q: Is there parking near the venue?

A: Temporary parking lots are available for the Kumagaya Fireworks Festival. However, heavy congestion is expected on the day of the event. To avoid delays, we highly recommend reserving a parking spot in advance. you can check the reservation website here. 

Please check the [Traffic  Map] before your visit, as road restrictions will be in effect around the venue. Be sure to allow plenty of time for arrival.

 


Q: Can I come by bicycle?

A: We kindly ask that you do not ride your bicycle directly into the venue, as both the paths and the venue itself will be extremely crowded. There is a high risk of accidents with pedestrians. Please walk your bike or consider using public transportation.

 


Q: Can I fly a drone at the event?

A: No. Drone operation is strictly forbidden during the event for safety and security reasons.

 


Q: Can I use a tripod for photos or videos?

A: Yes, tripods and other equipment may be used outside the emergency access zones (marked with red stripes on the [Kumagaya Fireworks Venue Map]), as long as you do not disturb others. Please be considerate—avoid loud conversations and keep your gear from blocking pathways.

 


Q: What time does the rugby field open? Can I save a spot before then?

A: The rugby field will open at 4:00 PM on the day of the event. Entry and space-saving (such as laying down sheets or reserving spots) before 4:00 PM is strictly prohibited.

 


Q: Where are the toilets located?

A: Toilet locations are marked on the [Kumagaya Fireworks Venue Map]. Since the site is expected to be crowded on the day, and internet connectivity may be unstable, we recommend downloading and saving the map in advance for easy reference.

 


Q: Are there smoking areas available?

A: Yes, you’ll find designated smoking spots marked on the[Kumagaya Fireworks Venue Map]. Please be sure to check the map beforehand.

 


Q: Are there trash bins available at the venue?

A: Yes, there are trash bins at the venue, but we kindly ask everyone to take their rubbish home whenever possible. After the event, volunteers are welcome to join the cleanup efforts to help keep the venue tidy. If you’d like to participate, please head to the event headquarters after the festival.

 


Q: Are grills allowed at the venue?

A: Open flames are strictly prohibited at the venue. Please do not bring portable gas stoves, barbecue grills, or start any fires.

 


Q: What should I do if I feel unwell or get injured?

A: There are three medical stations at the venue: the Event Headquarters (near Arakawa River), the Security Headquarters (on the embankment), and the Medical Station inside Arakawa Park.

If you need to call emergency services (dial 119), please provide the number of the nearest audio tower or stairway as a landmark so help can reach you quickly.
